Why MLM Doesn't Work...

You might disagree with the title of this post... but after reading this article, I think you'll agree with me that MLM doesn't work, and that it never will. The MLM business model has destroyed more lives, resulted in more marriages ending in divorce and cause more debt than any other business model on the planet!

It's no secret that MLM doesn't work, just Google "MLM Horror Stories" or "MLM Nightmares" and see for yourself. The business model has some major faults that stop it from fulfilling on the industry promise of creating lifelong residual income for the masses. It lures so many in due to the smoke and mirrors... the lifestyle pitches, the rah-rah, etc. You'll see, I can personally speak from experience. I was involved with an MLM company for several years, I made a great income with that company, it just wasn't lifelong residual income like the industry promises.

Why MLM Doesn't Work...
The #1 reason why people join this industry is for residual income... but if you look at most people's business reports in MLM that have put up some decent numbers (most of them will not show you the real numbers), usually the masses stop ordering 30, 60 or 90 days after starting. Residual means long term... and I don't consider a few months of ordering long term.

I had over hundreds of people in that business, but only a few dozen were even placing an order... and the majority of them were only placing and order to remain active to be eligible to earn a commission. On top of that, the company (which had been around for over 15 years) sold (under pressure) in January 2002 and then, the new owners (a sports celeb) bankrupt the company within 10 months. Because of this, I lost my income, so I can truly speak from a place of posture when I share this information.

A bit after that, I was introduced to an INC500, TripleA BBB company and in researching this company, I figured out why MLM doesn't work. I found a business that DOES produce lifelong residual income for the masses. An American corporation where nobody is getting hurt and nobody is losing money.

It's been a blessing... 12 years ago I started my business and I now have hundreds of people: happy customers and a group of partners. I'm now enjoying true lifelong residual income because of our 95% month-to-month re-order rate. In fact, in my first 30 days in January 2003, of the 13 people I personally referred, 10 have shopped every month for 12 years and although most have never engaged as a partner, all have received a monthly profit sharing check, too. I've been able to help so many that have been burned by the MLM business model. Leaders have joined us in business because they're tired of building something, only to have it fall apart.

If you're interested in finding out about our business: get the facts, do your research and learn the benefits of partnering with us. If you agree with me that MLM doesn't work, you can call me any time to ask questions and learn more.

The Dangers of Dryer Sheets

I read a startling and shocking article that posed the question as to whether fabric softeners laced with chemicals contribute to SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). According to Dr. Ron Harper, of the UCLA Medical School Brain Research Institute, he believes that an anaphylactic reaction (hypersensitivity to a foreign substance) is responsible for some SIDS cases. He further states that fabric softeners with their array of chemical components could not be ruled out as possible causative agents.
According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and industry-generated Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), there is a mind-boggling list of dangerous petrochemicals in these products, many of them used in untested combinations, there are many chemicals found in fabric softeners and dryer sheets such as Alpha-Terpineol, Benzyl Acetate, Benzyl Alcohol, Camphor, Chloroform, Ethyl Acetate and others. These chemicals have been found to cause various health problems including central nervous system disorders, irritation to mucous membranes, pancreatic cancer, irritation to upper respiratory tract, headaches, nausea, vomiting, dizziness and the list goes on and on.
With this information, it makes sense to begin using more natural and safe fabric softener for the health of your family. I have listed a few healthy tips for you to consider as you keep your home a "healthy home."
What To Look For
  • AVOID fabric softeners that contain benzyl acetate, formaldehyde, camphor, chloroform, ethyl acetate, pentane, linalool and limonene.
  • Fabric softeners made with natural ingredients not chemicals.
Healthy Tips
  • Add baking soda to your rinse cycle.
  • Vinegar is a natural fabric softener - add ½ cup to your wash cycle.
  • Wash and dry cottons and synthetic fabrics separately.
  • Synthetic fabrics contribute to static cling so consider not using your dryer for nylon, rayon and other synthetic fabrics.

Protect Kids from Toxic Chemicals

Children are more affected by toxic chemicals for many reasons. Children eat, drink, and breathe more than adults in relation to their body size. This means they are at greater risk for health problems from toxic chemicals.

Adults need to be careful around toxic chemicals too, especially women who plan to become pregnant, are pregnant, or are nursing. Some toxics are stored in the body and build up over time. A woman can pass toxics to her developing fetus which may affect the brain and health of the developing baby.
